3 WAYS TO ATTRACT ABUNDANCE WITH GRATITUDE

When you think about abundance, you may also think of the Law of Attraction which says that “like attracts like.” Everything in the Universe is made up of energy and everything has a frequency (which is an expression of energy). So that means that like frequencies attract like frequencies.

It’s easy to imagine that things like music, people and even places have frequencies. But less tangible things like thoughts, words, emotions and beliefs have frequencies too. And those are what make up the energy fields around our bodies. In that way, we are attracting our life experiences based on the frequency our bodies emit.

I’m sure you can recall a day where you’ve had everything go wrong...one thing after another. Or on the flip side of that, you have a good day that just keeps getting better. This is a prime example of “like attracts like.”

Gratitude and abundance are the same frequency. When you practice living in gratitude, you are practicing living in a resonant frequency with abundance. Therefore, you attract it. So how does one practice living in abundance?

PRACTICE GRATITUDE THROUGH BEING PRESENT IN YOUR LIFE

Being fully present in the moment is an important way that you can appreciate all that life has provided for you. Nothing is too small: the beauty of a rose, the warmth of the sun on your skin, or a parking space right in front at the grocery store.

When you take pause for appreciation in these moments, you are emitting the frequency of gratitude. The more you appreciate, the more you maintain an elevated state.

But what about when life serves up unpleasant or painful experiences? If we are living in the present moment and feeling the pain, how does gratitude come into play then?

“Being grateful does not mean that everything is necessarily good. It just means that you can accept it as a gift.” Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

This is why we use the word “practice” in the term gratitude practice, because it takes practice to be able to find the silver linings in the painful and difficult moments in life. It is not easy. But like the quote above from Roy Bennett says, it’s about accepting the unpleasant things as gifts.

There are hidden lessons or opportunities for emotional healing in the painful experiences we have in life. Once we can learn to accept the circumstance and truly appreciate the opportunity for healing and growth, that is when we step into self mastery and spiritual alchemy. Accepting hardship with grace and fortitude keeps you aligned with the frequency of gratitude and abundance.

KEEP A GRATITUDE JOURNAL

Another simple but powerful way to stay in resonance with gratitude is to keep a gratitude journal. Starting your day by listing the things in your life you are grateful for is a great way to set the tone for the rest of the day. Likewise, ending your day by recounting all of the things that occurred that you are grateful for raises your frequency before bed. That can have a positive effect on quality of sleep, and even your dream state.

One more type of gratitude journaling is a practice called gratitude scripting and it’s used for manifestation. When doing gratitude scripting you are literally writing your future life into existence. It’s also done daily, but instead of writing what you are grateful for in your current life, you imagine your life in the future and list the things you are trying to manifest as if you already have them. So you start each thing with, “I am so happy and grateful now that [...]” and you fill in the rest with things you want to manifest. This really works to get you into the energy of truly feeling all the good feels of the abundance you are manifesting.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE IN NATURE

Nature is an example of abundance in one of its purest physical forms. After a single flower blooms, a whole pod of seeds are created to grow dozens more...think of how many seeds are created from a single dandelion! Surrounding yourself in the raw beauty of nature is powerful in itself, but when you consciously appreciate it for all of its bounty you begin to resonate with it.

This practice is so nourishing to the soul! When you pay attention to nature, it pays attention to you. Have you ever said hello to a bird, only to have it chirp back at you? Or thanked the busy bees for pollinating the berry bush? The more you interact with nature, the more you are interacting with the nature of abundance! So go out and hug some trees...literally!
